Maximilian Krome holds the position of principal clarinet in The Deutsche Kammerphliharmonie Bremen and plays regularly as a guest in the Camerata Bern, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Les Dissonances Paris, Potsdam Chamber Academy, Frankfurt Opera and the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne.

Performing in major music venues and festivals throughout Europe, Asia and America he was involved in various CD- and DVD Productions, such as the latest production of all Brahms Symphonies with Paavo Järvi and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen for Sony.

Maximilian has had the privilege to work with many renowned conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Daniel Harding, Andris Nelsons, Gustavo Dudamel, Herbert Blomstedt, Riccardo Chailly or Mirga Grazinyté-Tyla. Previous to his work in Bremen, he was a member of the Orchestra Academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich.

From April 2019 to July 2021, Maximilian Krome taught as a docent with his own clarinet class at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg. In addition, he represented Prof. Marco Thomas with a teaching assignment in the summer semester 2019 at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Since then, the great importance of pedagogy is also reflected in his teaching activities at master and chamber music courses, such as the German chamber music course "Jugend musiziert".

Due to his own career as well as teaching experience, the knowledge from the two-year training as an Alexander Technique teacher and mental coach for musicians with Pete Josephs at the Institute Mitte in Berlin is also incorporated here.

Cherished for his lyrical and expressive playing, his chamber music partners include Elisabeth Leonskaja, Rie Koyama and the Ardeo Quartet and he has been invited to the 'The Next Generation' festival in Dortmund, the Academy of St.Martin-In-The-Fields London, the Kissinger Sommer, the Festival Hirondelle, France and the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Many of these concerts being broadcasted for the WDR-, BR- or Deutschlandfunk (German Radio).

The first of a series of chamber music CD's will be released on MDG Music Productions in September 2019.

Invited as a soloist to the opening of the 29thSchwetzinger Mozartfestpiele with the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Maximilian also toured with Mozart's Clarinet Concerto to the Margravial Opera House of Bayreuth, Essen Philharmonic and 'The Next Generation' festival Switzerland.

Maximilian Krome has been supported and sponsored by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, the Jürgen-Ponto-Foundation and the German Foundation of Musical Life.

By acquiring his own clarinet class at the Nuremberg University of Music and taking on a teaching position at the University of Arts ind Bremen in April 2019, he continues to broaden his musical perspectives. These teaching activities are enriched by his two year apprenticeship as an Alexander technique teacher in Berlin.
